# Edward documentation

> Edward is your brokerage's AI underwriting assistant: fast, cited answers to underwriting questions, drawn from your carriers' own documents.

Edward is your brokerage's AI underwriting assistant. Ask an underwriting question in plain language (coverage eligibility, carrier appetite, surcharges, exclusions) and Edward answers in seconds, with the carrier rule **cited back to the source document**. Every answer is grounded in your carriers' own manuals and policy documents, never in guesswork.
